Once upon a time there was no snow @ Drumgoon!
February Update
Today has been another wintry day for SD with no travel warnings due to snowy blizzard conditions and high winds.  Thankfully most of our staff were able to make it in with the help of our trusty JD tractor!  However, all this snow and cold temperatures just makes life so much more difficult!

Our new calf barn and weaning barn are full of young heifer calves and although the cold weather was very hard on our newborn calves we are managing to keep our automated calf feeders going and a hair dryer lives in the barn to keep the system ice free when everything starts to freeze up!

Looking forward to spring time and warmer temperatures.  We were enjoying some 30 - 40 o F temperatures before this last storm and it would be nice to know we are done with snow and freezing temperatures until next winter.

We have enjoyed having David home this weekend, even though he hasn't managed to get out of the house due to the weather.  Indoor track season is over and outdoor track season starts in March.  James graduates from High school in May and then he is hoping to join David at Dakota Wesleyan University in the Fall.  Rebecca had a cheer competition this weekend in Brookings, which she left for yesterday before the blizzard so we didn't get to see her performing because the weather has been so bad, she will get home sometime tomorrow.  Rodney is still busy working away and keeping everything running smoothly at the Dairy and I am coping with a Dept of Revenue Audit in the office so we can't complain about being bored!  Bye for now, Dorothy
